The Great American LIttle Pickup in San Jose on March 19 drew 1,600 volunteers who left their cozy homes on a rainy morning to pick up bottles, cans, plastic bags — and many other discarded items — from streets, parks and trails. The volunteers cleaned up sites in all 10 San Jose Council Districts.
